International Women's Day

For International Women's Day 2024, AWA joined the Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations for a celebration of women’s empowerment and achievement. 

In its 10th anniversary year, ten more remarkable individuals were inducted into the prestigious Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame, recognising their outstanding contributions to Singapore society, and you can read all about them here, along with previous inductees.

We also witnesses the introduction of the Project Awesome Art competition, showing the inspiring interpretations of the awe-inspiring women inducted into the Hall through the eyes of our talented student artists.

It was a day of inspiration, recognition, and artistic expression, celebrating the resilience, strength, and brilliance of women who have shaped and continue to shape Singapore’s history. 

We look forward to next year where we will again share in this empowering event that bridges generations and fosters a sense of community and pride in the achievements of extraordinary women.
