AWA Terms and Conditions

Unless an event is marked “non-refundable”, you may cancel your participation 4 working days prior to the event. Each AWA activity has a $5 admin fee built in, and this is not refundable.

Should AWA have to cancel an event, you will receive a full refund, including the $5 admin fee.

Unless otherwise stated, AWA events are only open to members and guests aged 18 years and above.

Some (but not all) AWA activities allow a trial session before joining – please email the activity chair to see if this applies. Non-members may try out 2 AWA activities (in total, not per year) before we would ask them to join.

Attachment 1 In consideration of my acceptance as a member of AWA and permitting me and my guests to partake in any of the AWA activities in which I or my guests may enroll, I, for myself, my heirs, executors or administrators, or those of my guests, remise, release and forever discharge The American Women’s Association, its officers, servants and agents or other persons authorized by AWA, from all claims, demands, actions or causes of actions, on account of my or my guests death or on account of any injury (including injury resulting in death) however caused or sustained by me or my guests or for loss of or damage (however caused) to my personal belongings or that of my guests, suffered at any time during my attending the said activities.

Attachment 2 In consideration of AWA permitting my child to partake in any of the AWA activities in which I enroll my child, I as parent, guardian and next-of-kin of said child hereby, remise, release and forever discharge The American Women’s Association, its officers, servants and agents or other persons authorized by AWA, from any or all claims, demands, actions or causes of actions, on account of my child’s death or on account of any injury (including injury resulting in death) however caused or sustained by my child and for loss of or damage (however caused) to my child’s personal belongings suffered at any time during my child’s attending the said activities.

Attachment 3 Data Protection Act Singapore: When you subscribe to our site or register as a member, your information is being collected for use by the AWA to facilitate communication for our events and activities. We will use pictures of members for our website, calendar, magazine and other promotional materials for our organization. We will only share your data with third parties where necessary to operate our organization and to facilitate the events for which you have registered. Members may request a summary of the data we hold for you by emailing office@awasingapore.org.

Attachment 4 I hereby declare that all information I have given is truthful, complete and correct at the time of writing.

Attachment 5 There is no expiration date for this waiver. It is a one-time contractual agreement and is deemed to be valid as long as my AWA membership continues.
