AWA Annual Events

Join our engaging community of international women who have made Singapore their home away from home at one of our Welcome Events.

Celebrate together, share adventures and pursue your interests, all while creating lifelong memories with your AWA friends. Whether you’re seeking a social circle, a supportive network, or simply a sense of belonging, AWA is here to help you make the most of your Singapore experience.

Our members will be on hand to speak with you about our different groups, exciting events and our abundance of activities. We will help you get connected within our community, Because Community Matters.

AWA holds Welcome Events in August and January each year. Registration is not required, details will be listed on our Home Page and Calendar ahead of each event.

Ready to get your gobble on and stuff yourself silly? Americans, non-Americans, family, friends, children, and people you meet on the street are all welcome to share in our special family celebration!

Thanksgiving is one of the most iconic American holidays so we are celebrating right with an all-American event. The day will be co-hosted by American Association of Singapore (AAS) and American Women's Association (AWA) held at the beautiful Hort Park.

We'll provide a delicious feast and fun and games for all the family - we can't wait to see you there!

Our Thanksgiving event is held on a Sunday in November each year. Details will be listed on our Home Page and Calendar ahead of the event.

A much-anticipated annual event, the Holiday Luncheon includes a delicious three-course lunch, wine, beverages and a holiday table favor. We also have vendors providing perfect last-minute gifts to share with family and friends over the holidays. Join us for a festive day of shopping, eating, laughter and spreading of holiday cheer.

Join us for an inspiring International Women’s Day event each year as we honor the achievements of women and advocate for gender equality. Hear from impactful speakers, engage in meaningful discussions, and celebrate the progress toward a more inclusive future.

The Fashion Show features our own AWA member models wearing clothing and accessories from local designers carefully chosen to work specifically for our members.  

Enjoy a delicious lunch and socialise with your friends. See something you like? Enjoy the opportunity to shop the designs following the show.

Each year in May we come together to show our appreciation for the hundreds of volunteers who have given their time to make the AWA such a great group during the year. We also welcome all members, as we vote on our slate of officers for the upcoming year.

The AGM and Volunteer Appreciation is held on the 1st Tuesday in May each year. Details will be listed on our Home Page and Calendar ahead of the event.
