Competitive Tennis

AWA Tennis offers competitive tennis opportunities for each level of play through our Team Tennis and tournaments. Ratings requirements for each will be specified in the event registration information.

TEAM TENNIS

Team Tennis emphasizes team play, sportsmanship, and competition.  This is one of the more competitive options from AWA tennis.  We offer two divisions - Intermediate and Advanced.  Players are assigned to teams in order to achieve a competitive balance throughout each division.

AWA TOURNAMENTS

AWA Tennis offer tournaments for all levels of players.

AWA Doubles Cup

Geared to players with extensive match experience this tournament offers our Band 1-rated players challenging competition. Sign up with your partner to participate in AWA’s most competitive tennis event.

AWA Doubles Plate

Our Band 2-level  tournament for players with some match experience, who understand game rules and want to enjoy additional match play. Sign up with your partner to enjoy competitive match play in a social environment.

AWA Doubles Bowl

For Band 3-level players with limited matchplay/tournament experience, a round-robin format ensures you play with a variety of partners and opponents, giving you a chance to learn different styles of play in a fun and supportive environment.
