Bridge
DUPLICATE BRIDGE
Welcome to the friendliest card game in town where our players' enthusiasm and passion for the game is contagious! AWA bridge provides a welcoming and encouraging environment where players enjoy high quality play in an amiable game.
We are a special bridge club with friendships extending beyond the bridge table. We have a mix of experienced players and newcomers, with all players welcomed and supported. If you’ve played duplicate bridge and understand Basic Standard American Bidding (SAYC), please join us.
BRIDGE LESSONS
For newcomers looking to learn how to play contract bridge, we'd happily recommend Lifelong Bridge Mastery run and managed by Kelvin Ong and Hui Teng.
Kelvin has been a regular in the youth bridge scene since 2005, and has consistently finished on the podium in multiple events. He is part of the Singapore Contract Bridge Association (SCBA) and oversees youth training and development. He was also selected by SCBA to be part of the Singapore team to represent the nation in the World Bridge Series in 2012 and 2016 and has been the coach and non-playing captain for the Singapore Youth team since 2011.
Members can enquire directly about lessons in general by texting Huiteng on 98303546, and mentioning they are AWA members. In addition, when we are aware of upcoming lesson registration we will list it in our main calendar.

DUPLICATE BRIDGE GAMES: Mondays, 12.45pm to 4.30pm at the Bishan Community Club (51 Bishan St. 13, Singapore 579799) - easy access opposite Bishan MRT (North-South line and Circle line) or ample parking available at $0.60 per 30 minutes.

Bunco
Bunco is Back!
Join us for an exciting and fast-paced dice game that's all about fun and friendship. Our monthly Bunco nights will be member-hosted on the second Thursday of each month, with 12-20 players.
Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, no prior experience or skill is needed—everyone is welcome!

Bar Nights
Welcome to Bar Nights! It’s our monthly adventure into Singapore’s wonderful heritage of hospitality.
Bar Nights offers you a unique experience at the finest establishments in Singapore ranging from grand hotels to small, intimate cocktail bars.
It’s about meeting other ladies who are part of the AWA family and the wealth of experience they all bring to Singapore. Bar Nights - it’s wine, cocktails and conversation!

This group is perfect if you are new to AWA, to Singapore, or have lived here for a while and want to meet likeminded people.
Get together with AWA members and hear about our activities in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Just drop by between 10:30am and 12:00 any Friday at the following meeting point, no need to register in advance:

DISH Lunches
DISH is our social luncheon, located at various restaurants throughout Singapore. Our goal is to pick a wide variety of different cuisines and restaurant styles throughout the year, especially focusing on venues you may not have tried yet. This is a great way to try new venues in Singapore and make new friends!

High Tea
Singapore Hotels are famous for their High Tea service. A few times a year members get together to try one of these, for a special occasion!
The High Teas are not held to a fixed schedule, so to find out when the next High Tea will take place please check the calendar regularly.

Mahjong
Mahjong Game Play
AWA offers Western Style Mahjong and Singapore Style Mahjong. Registration for our weekly game is organized via the AWA Mahjong WhatsApp chat - please register via the button below.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU SHOULD ONLY REGISTER FOR THE CHAT IF YOU ARE ALREADY ABLE TO PLAY MAHJONG.
Mahjong Training
We periodically have Mahjong training sessions, with registration via our calendar (if we have a current session live, you will see it in the calendar list at the foot of this page). The training sessions are held at a private home. Training includes material and tuition from our Mahjong Chair.

Training: dates vary, we try to offer 1 training session each month (excluding summer)
